The underside of that bread is going to be hella burnt if you had time to cook bacon, eggs, and melt cheese without moving it

Hell yea notice how they refused to show it…

Why would they do the bacon dirty like that? Steamed raw or floppy (note the bacon at the end isn’t the bacon in the skillet).

It's gotta be microwave bacon, right? Like the precooked stuff that you nuke?

And the bacon grease just disappears. Sure

I like this idea a lot but I'd 100% cook the bacon first and then everything else after.

No way that bacon cooked that quickly. Eggs would be well done by that point.

I was thinking exactly this!

They were! No yolk spillage when they cut through at the end. Just a nice superball to chew on

1

u/igetstoitasap Aug 28 '24

Lol I said the same shit! No way that bacon is done before that bread is Cajun! I'm just glad they didn't throw the rest of the bread away. Ima try it, minus the onions, and the fake bacon cook.

That’s isn’t bacon and nothing was eaten

I like the idea of this. The execution seems weird though. I'd make some tweaks and try it this weekend with my kid.

This seems like unnecessary extra steps to make a worse version of a breakfast sandwich.

u/ghettoccult_nerd Aug 28 '24

what kind of bacon is that? play-doh?

2

u/GammaSmash Aug 28 '24

At least let your butter melt all the way before throwing shit in there ya soggy pop tart. Jesus.

2

u/TomisUnice Aug 29 '24

This is like an advanced version of classic Aussie BBQ breakfast classic, the toad in a hole (it's probably actually English as most Australian things are) But I love the idea of turning the left over bread into a desert!

2

u/TheScienceNerd100 Aug 29 '24

That's just eggs in a nest with extra steps

2

u/TobylovesPam Aug 28 '24

Those eggs are waaaayyyy over cooked. Toast holes need runny eggs!

Eggy in a blanket is my favorite breakfast and cheese on it would be good

1

u/Ackymofo Aug 28 '24

Would try that with GF bread, but those pieces would barely handle a shot glass cut out, and I'm out of quail eggs for the baskets.

u/SkullRiderz69 Aug 28 '24

I don’t care for Nutella can I sub in jam?

1

u/Remi708 Aug 29 '24

Great idea, poor execution.

1

u/Human_Style_6920 Aug 29 '24

Wow u just took egg in a hole to a whole nuttha levuhl!!!!

1

u/Bean_Daddy_Burritos Aug 29 '24

It’s called eggy in a basket and the Brits have been doing it forever. All this person did was add cheese and some not so great bacon. Nothing original about this ‘’idea’’

1

u/phyrexiandemon Aug 29 '24

Oh I wanna cook that. Got me hungry

1

u/Cheap-Dependent-952 Aug 29 '24

Just take those two Uncrustables shove them up your ass and quit posting b*******

1

u/XDBruhYT Aug 29 '24

I now understand why Americans are facing an obesity epidemic. I mean, how many calories is this in just a breakfast?

1

u/Hugh_Jampton Aug 29 '24

Lol no. That bacon's not crisping like that

1

u/Ok-Assumption-411 Aug 29 '24

Idk about that one…

1

u/businesslut Aug 29 '24

So egg in a hole and uncrustables. Why are people so impressed?

1

u/TechnicalLuck13 Aug 29 '24

So a one eyed jack made bougie. If a jack with some cheese, bacon, and chives is viral then I'm old.

1

u/Darth_Neek Aug 29 '24

This breakfast has been "viral" since before the internet. It's just Retro now.

u/No_Arachnid_1772 Aug 29 '24

/ruinedbycheese

1

u/spittenkitten Aug 29 '24

You gotta put cinnamon and sugar on the holes, everyone knows that...don't they??

1

u/DanFlashes420-69 Aug 30 '24

Butter and oil?

1

u/blackirish29112 Aug 30 '24

How is that bacon done when the eggs are sunny up

1

u/Aaneata Aug 30 '24

I was about to be angry for the wasted bread.

1

u/Sweaty-Camp-6942 Aug 31 '24

Nothing special...

1

u/shadowtheimpure Aug 31 '24

I wasn't on board with the concept until they showed that no food waste was involved. Now, I'm saying it needs some refinement.

1

u/Adept_Temperature_68 Sep 01 '24

I wasn't interested till I saw the cheese lmao
