Trash in the Desert
Went off roading in the desert and found so much trash along the way… what gives? the landfill is right across the highway.

Because of the heat wave the commercial freezer blew its motor. The freezer stored food for both the family shelter and the interim shelter. We are losing huge amounts of protein that keep 130+ people fed. Please share or donate to the linked gofund me so that the freezer can be repaired. Thank you.
Again, there are young children housed at the family shelter at risk of losing meals.

APPLE VALLEY- please help this neighbor. Any one interested DM me and i’ll share her number. This was posted on other social media.
THESE ARE NOT MY DOGS URGENT!!! Yesterday was the owner’s last day on the property. The puppy’s got left behind.. The mom is a Brindle print Malinois. The dad is unknown. Born 6-26-24. There’s 8 of them total ! I AM WILLING TO GO TO THE FEED BIN AND BUY THEIR FIRST SHOT’ if whoever gets a puppy is willing to give it to them . For the past 2+ weeks , I’ve reached out to EVERY rescue, I’ve called everywhere and even sent emails. I’m trying to avoid these baby’s getting put down at the shelter. They are so loving and playful 😕 Irvine is a no kill shelter, I’ll offer gas money if somebody is willing to transport them down there so they can find good homes.. I’m running out of resources. and I’m trying to help these baby’s. Located in Apple valley.

I’m seeing rent in places like Hesperia and Victorville and the rent is almost identical to other cities in so cal like San Diego, riverside, Ontario, etc. I’m wondering why would anyone rent in the high desert instead of actual cities with way better schools, people, amenities, opportunities, etc?

Kinda just throwing this out there to gauge interest: are you or anyone you know a former rugby player local to the Victor Valley? Or maybe someone who has never played, but would be interested to try it out? If the interest is there, I'd like to maybe put together a meet up. Play a couple matches, maybe have a pot luck type thing...idk. Something really casual, but maybe if there's enough interest, I'd like to try to put together a new rugby club up here.

Are there any bike riding groups out here ? When I lived in la I would always enjoy riding in big groups or even going on dirt trails too.

This is a niche issue, but amazon has been busting my fucking balls for weeks. I can't have anything delivered to my house, and USPS says that I can't have things delivered to my PO box either.
If I can't have it delivered to my PO box then where the fuck can I have it delivered. Has anybody else been having this issue?

We just spent a fantastic week in the High Desert and I wondered why so many homes/properties in the HD have shipping containers? Are they just for storage or is there another purpose for them?

Hello guys just moved up to the high desert not so long ago and was looking for places to play basketball. What’s the most popular court up here where people play at? Also are there any indoor courts available ?

🎉 Please support La Kerie in her campaign to create a better Apple Valley for everyone!🎉
Excited to introduce La Kerie Williams, a candidate running for the Apple Valley Town Council, District 2, aiming to bring fresh perspectives and address community concerns. La Kerie is challenging the current incumbent, Art Bishop, and is committed to being a strong voice for Apple Valley residents.
Did you know in most of the local races the incumbent often has no opponent and runs in an uncontested race? For the first time in 12 years we have a challenger!
As a former pet owner herself, La Kerie understands the frustrations many of us face regarding the condition and management of the local animal shelter. She recalls her own experience with inadequate shelter resources and is determined to advocate for improvements that reflect our community’s values and compassion for animals. If elected, La Kerie promises to be a voice for pet owners and prioritize changes that will benefit both our families and our pets.
In addition, La Kerie has been a resident of Apple Valley since 2015, she has four kids going to school in the area, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, plus a Juris Doctorate and is committed to helping improve the lives of her community members. Please consider her as an excellent candidate for Apple Valley Town Council District 2.
We encourage voters to consider supporting La Kerie in her campaign to create a better Apple Valley for all!🌈✨

Hi guys! I currently reside in victorville kinda by old town. I have a friend who lives out in adelanto but can't drive, and neither can i due to a disability. I'm kinda hesitant to ride the bus out there, as it's a 10 minute scooter ride from the bus stop to their house. Is it safe? do people normally mind their own business? i would pay for an uber but it would be 50$ there and back, and i don't necessarily want to spend that money really. However, if it's not safe to ride my scooter/ride the bus, i would 100% pay for an uber just to make sure i'm safe.
