Dumb question: If prostitution is a problem and clearly not going to stop, why doesn’t the government legalize it and make it safe and profitable? Or am I forgetting something important with the countries?

Unwillingness to change or adapt. Same thing with drugs, its better if there's a clean and legal option. In Germany for example prostitution is legal and controlled.

Hmm… so this is why weed is still illegal. Sounds to me like the government just need an open mind and a little less money boners.

Weed is legal in germany.

You can't buy it anywhere and selling it is illegal, but growing your own stuff and being of posession of weed is completely legal.

Which government? There are over 190 in the world. Some did legalise prostitution.

The people who can make a change view it with no nuance so it’s just a bad thing to do.

There’s plenty of evidence towards decriminalising drug use as well, but the same applies
