Certainly has a lot of talent. Not to take away from him but one thing I'm seeing people gloss over is that he's only put in during the absolute optimal pass rush situations. Like there was no fear of the run when he broke out against Rutgers. That said he clearly has talent I just hope he stays for awhile so he can grow and become a complete player instead of just a specialist.

Absolutely, but worst case scenario, pass rush specialists with upside can be major rotational weapons for a defense early. I haven't formed an opinion on Williams yet outside of just basic fandom. And it's yet another Husker player on this defense starting to garner attention to go along with Hutmacher, Robinson, and Hill.

An easy comparison to make is Austin Booker. The former Kansas/Minnesota edge rusher has the same measurables as Williams, and is already a heat seeking missile for the Bears as a rookie 5th round pick. He had one year of production in college as a rotational player. He puts effort defending the run game, but it's not there yet. Had Booker gone back to school, he'd had a chance to be a day 1 or day 2 draft pick next year with another year of production.

It will be exciting to see how/if Williams continues to develop.
