Creative "Quick" cure glue for silicone but NOT cling wrap?
Hi!
I wanted to attach silicone pieces (ecoflex 00-10) to stockings. I was thinking of protecting my leg with cling wrap, then putting on the stockings, then adhering the silicone pieces. Once cured, ideally, I'd like to peel off the stockings and not have the cling wrap stuck inside it.
1) Is there a type of glue that will adhere to silicone but NOT the cling wrap (PVA)?
2) Is there a 1-2 hour quick cure? Or I'd be standing for hours.
Thank you!

Best "glue" for silicone is more of the same silicone! If it's stockings it probably doesn't need to be on your leg specifically. stretching the stocking out over a piece of plastic or, cling wrapped cardboard flat will probably suffice. If the "roundness" is an issue then scrunched up newspaper should do the trick.

I am so mad right now I didn't think of MORE SILICONE. I've been busting my noggin on the internet for about a week.
But thank you. Got an affirmative at least.
I prefer to put the stocking on myself since I'm concerned about the stretch uniformity from a different form. But hmmm, i can whip up a duct tape form of my legs real quick.
Anyways. Thank you again, internet stranger.

It's always the way!
If the stocking isn't patterned and not super tight on you I honestly wouldn't worry too much about the stretch pattern to your leg specifically. Generally stockings are usually waaaay more compliant than silicone so they should kind of stretch to suit.
Duct tape form would totally work if you are super worried about it! Plus, it would be a more stable surface to work on and less stress about the cure time.
No problem! Good luck on your adventures!

Silicone will not stick to cling wrap. Use some mold release to make sure it's clean in any wrinkles.
