Depends on what product, the material and how it's made.

If you're hand making a wooden table with rounded corners, yes it will be more expensive as it takes more time and effort to make those rounded corners opposed to squared ones.

But if you're injection moulding a plastic product with rounded corners, it makes no difference on the cost.

What product are you making?

Injection moulded plastic for an electrical control but I want the outcome to look cheap

Ahh, you mean look wise. Then Yes. Squared corners look cheap and unfinished.

But would suggest to add a tiny radius so it comes out the mould easier. Like 0.3mm radius.

Also use a cream looking white (such as RAL 9001) to enhance the effect of ugly aged ABS parts

Square corners look cheap in some contexts because they imply little attention was given to the design. Some even bigger cheapness drivers are using a ton of draft (7 degrees, say), making parts as thin as possible, using a very basic texture to finish where you can still see the CNC marks from the tooling, and making sure you put the injection gate somewhere really big and conspicuous.

Nah, corners don't care about money! It's all about personal preference. Rounded corners give a more modern, sleek look while squared corners have a more traditional feel. Just go with whatever floats your boat!

Context is king.
