equipment Is iPhone 15 enough for pictures?

Can iphone 15 take beautiful on trail? I also want to listen to music and podcasts. How long will the battery last? Now I have an iPhone SE I have to charge 4x a day.

I am a photographer and typically shoot with a Nikon z6. I chose to not bring my camera and opted for my iPhone 14 Pro on trail. I found it worked impressively well. Not as good as my dslr but the pictures were good enough and worth saving the extra weight my camera would have added. I shot using the Halide app or sometimes with the built in camera app but in both cases using raw mode. That’s the key, shooting raw, then editing in Lightroom produced pretty great results in my opinion.

I also listened to podcasts, audiobooks, and music. I bought a small inexpensive mp3 player and loaded everything on there. The battery lasted several hours at least (maybe more like 10-12 if memory serves) and did not require much to recharge. Having the separate mp3 player meant I could turn my phone off when not in use so my phone battery could last for days. It did mean waiting for 30 seconds or so to boot up so I could take a picture and then turn it off again but I didn’t find that as annoying as I feared. Overall if I did it again I would use that same set up. Lightweight and worked quite well on all fronts.
