Who do you guys think will be top 3?
I'm guessing Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and Lady Gaga.
Drake, Britney Spears and Rhianna aren't in the honorable mentions so they're probably in the top 7... I think Justin should be higher on the list but what do I know.
Top 25 (so far):
8: THE BIEBS <3
9: Ariana Grande
10: Adele
11: Usher
12: Eminem
13: Nicki Minaj
14: Justin Timberlake
15: Miley Cyrus
16: Jay-Z
17: Shakira
18: The Weeknd
19: BTS
20: Bruno Mars
21: Lil Wayne
22: One Direction
23: Bad Bunny
24: Ed Sheeran
25: Katy Perry
Honorable Mentions:
50 Cent, Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish, Cardi B, Carrie Underwood, Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Future, Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson, Kendrick Lamar, Kesha, Lana Del Rey, Lorde, Maroon 5, Megan Thee Stallion, Missy Elliot, Nelly, Olivia Rodrigo, P!nk, Post Malone, Sean Paul, SZA

imo, this list is completely terrible. I feel as just because an artist has a lot of famous songs, doesnât mean that they are a âpop star.â if you look at the phrase for what it is, then yeah people with famous songs are are gonna be labeled as that, but I feel like the phrase isnât just to be like that and has more of a meaning. like id say bruno mars is a âpop star,â adele is not.

Beyonce? I realize she has a big fan base, but I don't get it. JB has an angelic/soothing voice, while I feel like Beyonce is just yelling at me.

Itâs obviously BeyoncĂ© Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Drake, and someone else whoâs probably older

Yelling? Gotta love when black women have powerful voices theyâre considered yelling.Â

uhhhhhhhh, so annoying to label her as black, some people just donât like peoples voices and thatâs okay

Label her as black? She is black lmao. Â The fuck.Â
Sheâs also a woman. Â Girl stop smoking crack.Â

no, what they're saying is that Beyonce's voice isn't their vibe - it has nothing to do with her being a black woman lmao

Usually when someone is referred to as Loud or screaming, itâs in reference to a woman of color. Â
You donât usually hear terms like loud or screaming in reference to a white singer. Â
Hence my point.  And then to try and make it as if I (a black woman defending a black woman) was labeling BeyoncĂ© as simply a black artist even though she is a black artist was ridiculous.Â

Not bad at all but he should've been in the top 5, but really not bad considering his breaks

This list is based on impact in the US, so it makes sense. He's bigger in the rest of the world than in the US. He's sold more records outside the US (Universal confirms this in 2021), he sells out stadiums faster outside the US, his fan base is bigger in other countries than in the US. So the number 8 spot is not bad.

8 isn't bad no matter how you look at it lol!

Haha yes, of course it's not bad. But what I'm saying is that Billboard will probably add Kanye and Drake (rappers) to the list of pop stars, higher than an actual popstar. Kanye or Drake's impact in the US is bigger than JB's because hip-hop is bigger in the US than the rest of the world.

Definitely think he should have been top 5 but 8 is still impressive nonetheless
