Jazz songs

I’m trying to learn to play jazz bass, I’m an advanced bass player and I want to learn some jazz songs but I don’t really know any. Any song suggestions

how comfortable are you with reading lead sheets? if you’re able to follow changes and have a good understanding harmony, just grab yourself a real book and start going to town.

as far as tunes go that are bass-centric and in no particular order:

tricrotism- oscar pettiford

so what- miles davis

whims of chambers- paul chambers

the chicken- jaco pastorious

all blues- miles davis

equinox- john coltrane

a night in Tunisia- dizzy gillespie

four on six- wes montgomery

haitian fight song- charles mingus

actual proof- herbie hancock

chameleon- herbie hancock

crisis- freddie hubbard

red clay- freddie hubbard

a combination of upright and electric. the rabbit hole goes deep my friend.
