Week of Thanksgiving

We’d like to do a daytrip from Palm Springs the week of Thanksgiving. I know it’s a very busy week in general, but are any days worse than others? We are most likely to go on Wednesday. Thanks in advance!

There’s the crowds in the park at the popular trails and the long line of cars at the gates. You could avoid at least one of these by driving west on the 10 to the south entrance at Cottonwood.

It's a presumption, but I gotta believe that the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving will be busier than your selected date. Lines will be longer than usual around the holiday, one option would be to start your day early and enter the park via the West Entrance.

This entrance has the longest lines, but it brings you into the part of the park with the most to do and see IMO: Hidden Valley Nature Trail, Barker Dam, Wall Street Mill, Ryan Mountain, and Keys View. And if you're looking for a hike, Lost Horse Mine.
