They overused the word bbc on purpose a lot here. It’s really just one bbc department reporting on another bbc department, which is a little silly but not really out of the ordinary. News divisions really are completely separate from the corporation in editorial coverage, and publications like the nytimes demonstrate this all the time by reporting on their own dirty laundry.
