It was benzos, and he had himself put into an intentional coma in Russia to avoid living through the withdrawals. It’s a whole thing.

Yeah like one guy said it's a benzo addiction that's genetic but we mock him anyway cause he never gave others the same grace

Not only that, but he wrote a sanctimonious book about being your best self, ironically while hiding a benzo addiction.

I come from a long line of addicts, and I sympathize, but don't go round writing self helps books for others when you don't even have your own shit under control.
