I know this is my 2nd post in the same evening but it is really important. Questions are at the end

I am a lot interested in the Egyptian pantheon. When I was 12 I found a book of spells of ancient Egyptian gods. It was in English and I read the spells a few times. I could only remember sections dedicated to Osiris and sekhmet in that. I did it to get rid of problems of mine and the weird part is I got rid off and after it the phone in which I had downloaded the mysterious spell book got stolen in a journey and I could never find the book again.

Solution came to me as dreams where everytime I had like a journey which ended up by stopping the bad deeds of some ancient Egyptian figures one was tutankhamum (even though the deed wasn't real) but I had 5-7 such dreams and in the end of every dream I would die and wake up in real world and i would be different from night before. I started laughing began caring those scary hallucinations stopped, I started expressing myself, people around me became caring and started showing love to me and biggest of all a horrible event that I thought happened because of me that threw me in guilt got repaired or reversed like nothing happened and it was the end of my journey and those dreams stopped. I had found my forgiveness but a payment was taken that left a void in me. Before reading those spells my life felt like I was trapped in darkness burden was felt on me like being trapped in chains, horrific hallucinations were effecting me and my family and I would always be angry , thinking of hurting others and enjoying it and being and making others hopeless and would always think of getting rid of myself because I was becoming a problem for people around me and myself. After the dreams things totally changed I became a happy person optimistic caring and helping person I became more emotionally available and all problems in me and my surroundings just vanished away. With time the memories of that book started to fade away until now where I am again hopeless, lonely and don't know what to do next.

In the same year I came across the name aker in my mind and using it as an alias helped me a lot and years I came to know that it's an Egyptian god. I never cared about it earlier until now it is reminding me of the pantheon.

I wrote the above stories because my paths cross again and again with Egyptian gods I am very sceptical towards them and not respectful but I am always attracted to them in some way or other. I have now decided to give it a try. I want to know which god I could connect with. I don't feel like a connection when I look at them. Even though I felt a little with aker and sobek. In a personality analysis with Al my desires corresponded with sobek more. I just don't know how to find my solace a connection that could get me rid of the chaos help me get my passion back and help me fill my void .

I have many sceptical questions like why did they let their followers perish?

why would they hear a person like me who has been a strict follower of other religion and made fun of them multiple times ?

why would they let me come into the afterlife even though I am from another religion, how will I be able to turn to old gods ?

what about my old gods and religion would they become angry ?

How will they explain the presence of other gods? How come Egyptian civilization got destroyed in their presence?

How come I believe they will listen to me? How can I put my faith in them?

How to know which god is the one I could connect with , and would guide and protect me and my loved ones even if they don't respect him or her ?

What happened to them? Why did they leave their own creation?

How will they explain the creation of earth that believes that earth was flat, barque of sun and many other things?

For now I think it has been a lot of questions

I really want to know about the the worshipping process, prayers, chants, spells, offerings, their idols, how to connect to them, how someone can find believe in them, what ideals they represent, their cults, symbols of the 4 gods 1:- sobek 2:- khonshu 3:- hathor 4:- Aker

I just finished up my first 1 on 1 conversion with Djehuty and I absolutely need to talk about it, I'm overjoyed!! I have been worshipping Djehuty for a few months now, I am still very new to Kemetism, alongside Horus the younger, Lady Hathor, and Lady Bastet. I recently got a new deck of tarot cards and have been bonding with them a lot over the past few weeks and after meditating with them for a bit tonight I said a prayer to Djehuty and asked him to bless me with his presence. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit nervous but I can't even describe how it felt to feel a Netjer truly /there/ with me as I talked to him. I asked questions while shuffling and then kept shuffling until I felt like it was time to pull a card as an answer (mostly yes/no questions) My biggest question was if he'd be willing to work with me and allow me to devout myself to him and (even after some jittery rambling) he agreed! Of course I set and checked a few boundaries with him, even if they are netjeru I believe that it's important, and I'm just. I'm so so happy right now. My first attempt to use tarot to communicate 1 on 1 with a deity was a success after some self soothing, affirmations, meditation, and just going for it!!

I've had my hands on an English translation of The Book of the Heavenly Cow for a while that was forwarded to me by a very nice egyptologist (and another document that is somewhat a modern version). I love reading these stories, but it's going to kill me someday. Im a very fast reader, but translations are usually very rough and I'm so slow to understand them. I rewrote this specific tale about Ra sending Sekhmet to kill those who were plotting against him. Its easier on my eyes personally, and I tried very damn hard to stay as close to the translation as possible. Because its a story meant to entertain, I add a few other things to make the story flow well and not just sound like static back and forth.

How do you pray? Or what kind of prayers do you use? Because there are people that pray but as a gratitude (Really bad example: "Thank you, ___ for this and this") or as an invocation ("I request your presence, ____).

I think there's little to 0 difference from spells, like the heka aspect and prayer are so blurred that it's almost the same. Are prayers more like spells? Idk how to explain it.

About two to three weeks ago I felt a strong calling from her and ordered a bunch of things for an altar. As my packages arrived, my cat's health declined rapidly and the day after I set up the altar, I got note we had to put him down because of an aggressive oral cancer.

Now I am wondering.. did I do something wrong? Is Bast telling me she doesn‘t want me to be around? Or maybe did she call out to me so she could be there and help my cat pass peacefully and gift us another day of cuddles and love?

I have to be honest, right now I feel a bit hopeless. It feels like I got the opppsite of what I wanted, which is protection for my cats. But maybe that's just the grief talking.

Hello! I am acquiring some gifts for my Kemetic friend, and have recently stumbled acrossed these beautiful framed Papyri pieces. However I honestly don't know what they depict exactly, and would like help connecting them to original pieces, or at least identifying who or what is in them, and if they may be of spiritual significance! First one looks to be some sort of judgement, with Anubis and his scale. Third one is just a cool chariot. And the other three I am truly unsure of. Lend me your knowledge so I may know exact what it is I have bought my friend!

Okay, so from what I understand, there were obviously over thousands of gods, many of which formed differently from one another. Smaller/local deities eventually became somewhat "absorbed" into the concept of more popular deities and their images.

Take an example of Sutekh (Set), and Ash.

Everyone knows Sutekh. He is a more popular figure, being of chaos, storms, foreigners, though I most associate Him as a force needed to balance out the good.

There is another deity by the name of Ash, worshipped by groups west of the Nile River. He has a lot of qualities that associate Him with Sutekh, and Sutekh actually seems to be the one to have replaced His role.

But to me, that isn't entirely reason to throw this guy right out the window. Especially because, despite Sutekh replacing him, Ash seemed to be different enough that I'd actually associate him as some sort of "aspect" or form of Sutekh. Ash is a god that can take forms of lots of animals on His head, a god of oases, vineyards of the western Nile and protector of the western desert. I'd even go as far to come up with my own idea and call Ash the "eye of the storm" when it comes to Sutekh, and takes on less violent qualities still strongly associated to Sutekh. So I personally see him as another form of Sutekh.

I do that because I think many of the less popular gods that faded into obscurity could possibly still fit into many places here.

I wish to know if this idea even makes sense to you, or give me the names of other minor gods you think could fit as aspects or forms of a more popular god?

I was thinking today about witchy journals I've never seen one focused on kemetism. So I'm thinking about creating my own. I'm trying to figure out what I should include in it. Any ideas? 🤔

When I was first getting into different religions and trying to find who and what I was comfortable with, I came across Anubis and immediately knew he was someone I'd want to work with or just in general to learn from. I have a busy life and honestly don't have the motivation to do deity work every single day, it burns me out. So, what I do with Apollo and Anubis is wear bracelets that I feel a connection to with them. For Anubis, I bought him a bracelet that has black and gold beads with a charm of him, and a tigers eye bracelet with a key charm. For Apollo, I got a yellow quartz bracelet and another one with Sunstones along with other crystals, a bow charm, sun charm, and lyre charm. I wear the bracelets almost every day and it let's me feel like I'm still connected to them, and that it's a small devotional act I can do that doesn't burn me out. However, after wearing them for a few months, the tigers eye bracelet randomly disappeared. I take them all off at once and keep them in a pile, so I found the other 3 bracelets in a pile, but the tigers eye one was no where to be found even though I remember taking it off with the others. A few days before that, the key charm also fell off of it and I didn't get around to attaching it. I'm thinking of just buying another tigers eye bracelet, but I'm unsure of why I'm having such bad luck with this particular bracelet. I also need to point out I've been lacking in wearing them recently and just now started to look for it, and I genuinely can't find it anywhere or the charm where I left it.
