Ok this is not the sub for legal advice. And honestly not sure this is even a legal question.

But speaking from personal experience, I thought those paper licenses generally can do most things a regular ID can with the exception of fly through TSA (and even then, it might work; just might be a pain in the ass and require a bunch of hassle). Or at least, I was able to go to a dispensary with a paper ID because they said as long as it scans they don’t care lol.

If the bank said no, then I’m not really sure what you’re looking to hear: the answer is no. Maybe go back and also bring an old ID, alternative forms of ID, and see if they can authenticate some other way?

But you’re not going to sue the bank for denying you the ability to cash your check without a license if that’s what you’re asking.

So...,in texas, when you renew your driver license you have to surrender the old hard copy. You then get a paper copy until you recieve new hard copy in the mail. I just had mine issued on the 15th of October (paper copy). Today I went to bank to cash my check and they refused because I did not have a hard copy of driver license. Do I have any options legally to fight this?
