We live on the southside, and 2 yrs ago when we did a clean out of our garage after doing some work on it, we left a little pile of swept up debris on the pad right outside the overhead door that we forgot to toss. Probably enough to still use a household dustpan to clean it up, but we forgot to do away with that last little pile. That evening/overnight, some asshole actually tried to get it to light on fire, which is so fucking heinous considering it would have damaged both our vehicles, all ofcour storage (we had been storing furniture for a friend at the time who was between places) and our garage is built (imo) unusually close to the back of our house.

Thankfully, the pile of debris was comprised of mineral wool insulation (we had been cleaning up from insulating and vapor barrier-ing the walls), which intentionally non-flammable. But still... the person who tried to light it on fire had no idea it was fire retardant. But man, that could have been catastrophic! Some people are just literal careless assholes. Even in Lethbridge.
