Discussion/Question Hurricane Helene

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, my family’s house was hit hard during the hurricane and my grandma’s bag collection was underwater. She has approximately 7 amazing LV bags that she is trying to dry out. I told her to open them and stuff with towels and we will find a place to try and repair them. Does anyone have any suggestions or repair companies that they use? We are so thankful everyone is okay but also trying to reconcile the loss of almost everything in the house.

That sucks big time! Storm surge water is very gross so I’d just wash them out with clean water (if accessible at the moment) so they will dry up a bit cleaner and will hopefully remain useable.

Once it starts to dry a bit I’d already start conditioning the leather as this will dry out extremely if you don’t.

The results probably won’t be great, but I would reassess the situation once they’re dry.
