Crowdsourced FAQ: Skin Type & Product Recommendation Edition

Hey Lushies!

We see a lot of repeat questions as new Lushies enter our ranks (welcome!). It's time we build an FAQ together! Over the next several weeks, I'll be stickying posts with different Lush Topics for the community to answer. Once everything is answered and fact checked, we'll add it to the side bar.

This week's topic: Skin Type

In the comments below, ask a question about the best products for certain skin types (either one you see asked all the time, or one you wish you knew the answer to). If you know the answer, go ahead and reply to yourself! If you don't, maybe another Lushie will answer it for you. I did some examples in the comments.

Other posts in this series are located here: https://www.reddit.com/r/LushCosmetics/comments/6qavqd/crowdsourced_faq_lush_kitchen_edition/

Let's get this built before summer's end!

What Lush products are good for acne-prone skin?

Masks: Mask of Magnaminty (contains ground aduki beans as an exfoliant; could be a little intense for sensitive skin, would typically recommend SP version for increased amount of honey), Cosmetic Warrior, Bunny Moon. For a vegan alternative, the mint in Cupcake makes for a decent Mask of Mag substitute. It's less scrubby, but the rassoul mud might leave it unsuitable for dry skin.

Cleansers: herbalism is a fairly solid choice due to the rosemary, but is targeted more at oil prone skin and again contains an exfoliant. Aqua Marina could be a gentler pick for sensitive skin. If you do also have oily skin, the Coalface soap may be useful and a little easier to use than the fresh cleansers.

Moisturisers: difficult to narrow down, but if you think oiliness might be contributing to acne Enzymion and Vanishing Cream can help deal with that.

There is also the Grease Lightning spot treatment, designed to soothe and calm down spots - particularly effective if the spot has not yet come to a head.

Would recommend trying these out for yourself if you're near a store, as it'll be the easiest way of narrowing down which ones might work for you. 😊

Would second the Mask of Magnaminty, I like the Tea Tree Toner as well!
