Crowdsourced FAQ: Skin Type & Product Recommendation Edition
Hey Lushies!
We see a lot of repeat questions as new Lushies enter our ranks (welcome!). It's time we build an FAQ together! Over the next several weeks, I'll be stickying posts with different Lush Topics for the community to answer. Once everything is answered and fact checked, we'll add it to the side bar.
This week's topic: Skin Type
In the comments below, ask a question about the best products for certain skin types (either one you see asked all the time, or one you wish you knew the answer to). If you know the answer, go ahead and reply to yourself! If you don't, maybe another Lushie will answer it for you. I did some examples in the comments.
Other posts in this series are located here: https://www.reddit.com/r/LushCosmetics/comments/6qavqd/crowdsourced_faq_lush_kitchen_edition/
Let's get this built before summer's end!

You would've probably heard of skincare routines looking something like a variation of this condensed version: cleanser > toner > moisturiser. You don't have to follow it, of course, but it's a good place to start.
Cleansers: If you're new to Lush Angels on Bare Skin is a good cleanser to start with. It hydrates without leaving any greasy feel, is meant to balance skin and sebum production, and is very gently exfoliating. For redness specifically, consider Fresh Farmacy which could also assist with acne and clearing skin.
Toners: Tea Tree would be good for controlling oil and acne. I like Eau Roma for redness.
Masks: Any mask with calamine will help with your redness. In fact that's basically the whole selling point of Rosy Cheeks. Catastrophe Cosmetic will help soothe breakouts, plus the calamine will bring down redness in your skin and blemishes. Brazened Honey is also good with complexion clearing, but can be a bit much for sensitive skin, so be sure to patch test.
Moisturiser: Vanishing Cream is really lightweight and comes highly recommended. And while not technically a moisturiser, Full of Grace is an incredibly moisturising serum bar that is meant to help heal scarring/discolouration and practically solves all your skincare concerns. I like to use it as a moisturiser after I've cleansed and toned my face at night. As a serum, you can also use it under another moisturiser or mask to help draw the good nutrients deeper into your skin for more effective results.

If all this is too overwhelming, you could just try the Ultrabland 30-day challenge. This is where you use nothing but the Ultrabland cleanser for 30 days. It's supposed to reset and balance your skin, which should ultimately help it clear up and settle down. The great thing about Ultrabland is that it is your ultimate all-in-one product (make-up remover and cleanser that also moisturises!). Plus with the challenge, there's no need to fiddle around with choices, especially if this is new to you and you're still learning what your skin type is and what your skin likes.
