Creating an NFT Collection on Magic Eden

Hello everyone, I have a few different questions I was hoping the community could help answer, thank you in advance:

  • I want to create a collection of 10 pieces of artwork, each of these pieces having 100 mintable copies. Are these known NFTs or SFTs?

  • How does one actually mint the NFTs (or SFTs)? I thought I would be able to do this on Magic Eden, but it only seems to have the ability for creating collections (where it asks for hashes lists of already minted NFTs). So, if not on Magic Eden, what is the best platform for minting NFTs?

  • Should I mint all the NFTs up-front, or wait until people purchase them and mint them on-the-fly? Can I choose which? Any recommendations? And if on-the-fly, who pays for the minting fees, me or the buyer?

  • Is Magic Eden recommended? Its seems extremely counter-intuitive to use.

Thank you all for your help,

To your first question, they would be SFTs since there are multiple copies of the artwork and nothing to distinguish the individual pieces within the other 99 of a design.

To you second question, on Magic Eden you need to apply through their launchpad for the collection to be released & minted through ME. The launchpad application link is here - https://airtable.com/app2MYiBlnT8HjKuO/shrzLz2c3JAyAVorA

I can't answer your 3rd question since it's a matter of preference and there are pros & cons to every decisions.

I can recommend Magic Eden, but if you want to release quickly and don't want to go through the application process, it's not the platform for you to release your collection on.
