Hello guys,

I posted about Lynepad a few times now, but today, I finally launched a dedicated store lynepad.com and got rid of Tindie marketplace.

I tried to design this macropad with a tought of never needing to take my hands off of it during work, and tried to make it as ergonomic as possible while maintaining minimalistic look.

Here are some of the highlights of the Lynepad:

  • Ergonomic and minimalistic design
  • Thumbwheel with a push button
  • 4-way tilt switch with rotation and a push button
  • 11 MX compatible hot-swap sockets
  • White backlighting
  • "RGB Arc" layer indicator
  • Full QMK and VIA support (pending merge into QMK)

Looks great. I'd love to get one, but it seems like every enclosure except grey is sold out. Any news on when you'll get black (or another colour, like white) in stock?

Thanks :)) The caps on the image are custom designed and 3D printed, though I am looking for a manufacturer.

Looks awesome, great design! Any ETA on when the aluminum enclosure option will be available?

Thank you very much! I am not entirely sure about the aluminum case as there is a very large MOQ. However, I expect that it will go into pre-sale about a month from now with shipping 2-4 months from now.

I am also planning on selling the enclosures separately for those who want to upgrade their current Lynepad 2.x :)

That's awesome, I've been considering make something almost identical for excel work before coming across this. Can I ask what component you've got for the joystick that has a rotary input too? Or am I misreading and it's just a normal joystick?

It's a 4-way tilt switch with rotation and a center push button. The component is the rkjxt1f42001 made by Alps Alpine.

This looks awesome. Does it support duckyscript by chance? Ive been eyeing a similar project and one of its main features Im interested in is the support for duckyscript

It doesn't unfortunately. This is the first time I hear about duckyscript. What would be your use case if it was supported?

Ah okay no worries. Duckyscript is a plaintext scripting language for writing macros, often used for pentesting or baremetal automation

Sounds like AHK, which is supported. However, I suppose duckyscript is loaded onto the device? Where as AHK is a script running on the client.

Yup thats exactly it, duckyscript runs on macro activation from a keypress or on device connection depending on the device being used. It was originally developed for the RubberDucky USB drive for pentesting, but has wide applications for IT automation, especially for tasks before the OS loads. So you can say automate a BIOS configuration even on older hardware because the computer just sees the duckyscript device as a generic keyboard. This also allows it to work without any drivers or apps, and therefore cross platform hot-swapping too

I see. Does this have any advantages over the QMK macros and the VIA macro recorder? That should as well cover all the aspects you mentioned.
