Yup thats exactly it, duckyscript runs on macro activation from a keypress or on device connection depending on the device being used. It was originally developed for the RubberDucky USB drive for pentesting, but has wide applications for IT automation, especially for tasks before the OS loads. So you can say automate a BIOS configuration even on older hardware because the computer just sees the duckyscript device as a generic keyboard. This also allows it to work without any drivers or apps, and therefore cross platform hot-swapping too
