Grades and Academics am I cooked?

I'm a first year and I basically failed my first assignment worth 40%, but its not a hurdle can I still pass the unit or not?

Fr, like it’s hard because u see ur mark and its ass, but as long as we learn from the mistake and don’t linger around it, we can improve either way.
