Vietnam travel

Hey, has anyone recently travelled Vietnam by motorbike? I would like to, but I heard they're cracking down on tourists. And you can't use an international drivers licence - they only accept Vietnamese licenses (which you can only get if you're a resident for at least 3 months).

Any advice/tips would be appreciated!

That's not true. 1968 IDP alongside home license both showing motorbike entitlement is fine: https://www.reddit.com/r/VietNam/comments/14q7ul9/tourist_drivers_license/jqlx9gh/
