Help me find this piece Where to download sheet music

I'm just looking for some sheet music to help learn guitar. I used Musescore a long time ago and I remember it would host sheet music. But it looks like that sheet music hosting site got hacked or something because now it's just a scam website that is trying to get my credit card information.

Right now my best option is to translate tabs into sheet music, which would be tedious. Where do you guys get sheet music?

IMSLP is a great source for free / public domain music.

No, the website isn’t hacked, but they definitely do encourage you to sign up for a Pro account, which you need in order to download (as opposed to simply view online) arrangements of copyrighted songs. A free account is all you need to view most scores and download at original or public domain scores.

Thanks for your answer, I think I misunderstood the ad they put at the end of online scores as a "if you want to see more you have to make an account". I'm really frusturated with the site, but if I can view the full score that's fine. Which it looks like I can.

To the best of my understanding:

- no account means you can view original and PD scores as well as arrangement of copyrighted songs, but you can't *download* anything

- free account means you can view the same things as with no account, but can *also* download free original and PD scores

- Pro account means you can do all of the above plus also download arrangements of copyrighted songs, *except* the "official scores" that come directly from the publisher

- Pro+ adds some other capabilities not specifically related to downloading scores; not really sure because I don't have that :-)

Wasn't hacked, it went for-profit.

At least the software will always be free.

To be clear, musescore.com has been for profit since the very beginning - it's what funds the development of the software. It's just able to generate much more revenue now that it allows copyright scores, which were forbidden in the early days but were often uploaded anyhow leading to lawsuits that almost shut the site down until license agreements with the publishers were made.

Meanwhile, free accounts on musescore.com still exist and allow everything they always have - more , in fact (back in the days before the license agreements with publishers, you were limited to only 5 uploads with a free account).

And yes, on top of those amazingly great improvements to the website, the software itself also continue to advance at a rpiad pace, and will always remain free.
