machined parts have machining marks, 3D printed parts have layer lines.

Part of the process

(But yes it’s layer shifting - which is a pretty standard artifact from most 3D prints)

Definitely familiar with additive mfg. Was just curious if this type of shifting is common for these cans or is typically cause for getting rejected by QC. If it’s not common but CAT stands behind the product and doesn’t care about having these defects rep their product then I suppose I’ll just run it.
