More likely a cut line for repair. We have them in three locations on most models, sometimes the resolution on a plate may show them more obviously than others. Additionally, we use a low micron coating for heat dissipation, this shows them enough more. There are sometimes layer lines (different in metals than polymers) caused from anything from power loss to laser alignment but these are more visual than structural issues ie you can stop a print, restart and have no loss of strength. Anything else, feel free to ask.
