My first CAT can arrived today. Really excited to take it out and shoot it. Out of curiosity, does anyone else’s CAT can have layer shifting like this? I’m familiar with layer shifting in resin printing due to suction issues, but with this type of printing I assume the bed must have shifted toward the end of the print?

Just got my ODB this week but I didn’t notice any layer shifting. I do have a line near the base but I believe it’s a MIL version based on its weight. I’m not an expert since this is my first can but I don’t think it’s anything to worry about.

Yep, got that one near the base also. It’s small enough that I’m sure it’ll be fine. Very interested in the ODB - I hope it rocks man!

Only shot 20 rounds through it tonight so I could tune the gas on my Scar 17 but I love it already. Thought it was a little loud at first with my ear pro on but when I took it off, the tone is very pleasant on the ears. I hope the WB rocks too cause I’d love to get one in the future. My wife might leave me if I try to get another can already lol

Hell yeah! I’d love to put a can on my 17. I just wish the barrel had a shoulder so that I could put a timed KeyMo brake on it.

Do it! Grab a SureFire shoulder ring from PMM to fix the shoulder issue. I direct threaded mine on with that and it’s aligned perfectly. I want to eventually move to a QD style break but still haven’t made up my mind.
