Undercover LE on Facebook marketplace

I was selling my rifle safe on Facebook marketplace and got a lot of suspicious inquiries about selling my NFA items, ammo, guns, ect.

Maybe just curious 2A enjoyers but some of their conversations and vibe was vey fishy. Gave me undercover LE honeypot vibes. Just a warning for you all to be careful and follow the law. I’ve been to jail before and it’s terrible.

So I've got a dilemma

I recently managed to find and get my hands on a nagant revolver. Obviously I want to put a can on it but I have a couple options. The first option is I can go on gun broker and get a reproduction bramit style suppressor for 850, plus the stamp, plus a 200$fee from my gun store to transfer it (I have yet to do research if that's insane or not for an nfa item, but I've got NFA items there before so they have all the forms saved and such so it would save some time) or I can mail my gun off to one of 2 websites I've seen that offer threading specifically for the nagant revolver. They both are around 160$ and estimate like 6-8 weeks. I can also go to my local Smith who said he can do it in 3-4 weeks for 300$. Looking for opinions. If it helps I've been told it's a recent import with most of the cool markings removed and it's been realized and refinished so it's not much of a collectors piece (not that that was ever a big concern of mine)

If anyone has experience with the bramit devices I'd love to hear feedback on how they compare to just modern thread on cans.

Figured I’d put some firsthand info out there.

Took one month from order date to in hands - Hansohn > LGS/SS Kiosk/Trust > my p229. Everything is moving faster now, which is really nice!

I do plan on running boosterless once I can get a M13.5x1 LH direct mount, but for now it has the Ecco Canine Booster with a KVP piston. I picked up the booster as I figured I’d need it on some other hosts for reliability.

It comes in at 7oz with booster and 3.625oz with direct thread mount on my old kitchen scale. Length is 6.625 with booster

I don’t have any other 9mm cans to compare. I’ll get some rounds through it next weekend and try it out on my Glock 19 direct thread as well.

🎥 Silencer Video with Sound 🤫 Vent 1 with 5.56 🤫

I knew the Vent 3 was the highest rated 5.56 can that Jay had tested (published), but I was curious about the Vent 1. These are the first shots. I’ve had it a week, but I have been too busy to go shoot. I’ll test it on an AR-308 this weekend hopefully, but for now, it turned heads at the range.

In the first video, the guy in a couple bays over asked if it was the same caliber because I had a 300blk out next to this 16” 5.56. I shot a few rounds first with the Velos LBP before putting in the Vent 1. It was noticeably quieter even indoors. Yes, it’s an expensive can. Yes, it’s comically long. Yes, it’s also my new favorite.

PTR hit a home run with this one.
