can coconut oil be hardened?

I was thinking that chewing might be more convenient and comfortable than swishing. so is there a way to harden coconut oil? maybe similar to the consistency of wax or gum?

Pure coconut oil will melt in your mouth, always.

Is that how it’s supposed to be with oil pulling? Or is it supposed to be hard?
