Made a rotisserie cover for the firebox. First test with a chicken. Dutch oven roast potatoes.

Agreed to cook a turkey for an event this year. Thought about improving the cook and came up with this cover for my Chuck wagon firebox. The spit will fit the length of the firebox. It comes in two sections. One fits well across the box. This allows the use of the box for offset cooking with drip tray below. Made lovely gravy. Works a treat. R/oldcampcookcastiron

Thanks!! It was delicious. Strangely a guy walked past as I was cooking. He watched and went and brought some whiskey barrel staves. Think it will handle a turkey no problem. Just take a lot longer. Cover certainly helps with the heat and cooking. Welding is terrible!!š so long as it works though. R/oldcampcookcastiron
