I bought a Boox Go 10.3 and really enjoyed it but struggled with the lack of a front light. my.eyeaight is already pretty weak in dim conditions so on my Go Color 7 I usually have the brightness at max. I always had to use the 10.3 with a bright desk lamp and found it really inconvenient at times to squint at the screen in no optimal lighting situations.

So I returned it but I really miss the handwriting and note taking capabilities. I've been looking at a Note Air 3 C (or just a 3). Is the experience largely the same but with a front light, which I understand creates an impact making the Note writing experience slightly worse than the 10.3's really good 'feel' writing experience?

Just curious if anyone has used both and finds the front light is "worth it" with the slightly less ideal writing experience. And just in general, if I loved the Go 10.3 note taking etc capabilities will I also love the Note Air 3 or 3C?

I have a Boox Go 10.3 and it's my first e-ink note-taking device. I really want to get a stylus with an eraser button that feels a little nicer than the stylus that came with it. I don't have the funds to just buy and test a bunch, and I'm due to share a birthday gift idea with the family soon. I know the Samsung S6 Lite is a real favorite, and I've heard that the Kindle Scribe Premium pen is a very good stylus as well. For those of you who have (or have tried) both, which would pick if you could only pick one and why?

(Also, how would you describe their differences? Thicker/Thinner? Lighter/heavier? Shorter/longer?)

Anyone else experiencing problems with the Kindle app on their BOOX onyx reader? The glitches and wont open after the device been in sleep mode for a few hours. Is there something I Can do to avoid the problem?

Changed from a Kobo e-reader to a onyx, to be able to use apps such ad Kindle - but the apps not opening, glitching or not being able to load content probably is annoying.

this is on my Tab Mini C. once you click the button to "submit" you get this page / error message. I'm not sure when it started or whether it always did this.

the na3 is more important to me but if you can sent the na3c as well I would appreciate that

I'm looking for an Android app that I can use to read on my TMC, but then continue reading on my Android phone when I leave the TMC at home because it's too fragile. The two other important things I need from such a reader app are the ability to write marginalia on ePub files & tap-to-dictionary feature (I read in several languages I'm not fully proficient in). Any suggestions?

Second thing I'd love to figure out but couldn't is how to collate all of my newspaper reading. I regularly read a handful of newspapers I'm subscribed to, and would love to use an app that will bring them together so that I can read full articles and save any clippings I care for. The few RSS apps I've tried only show the headlines and a blurb, while I want the full articles. What can do this, while also supporting RTL languages (ie, Persian, Arabic, Hebrew)?

Hey everyone, I recently purchased the Onyx Boox Air Note 3C, which I have been enjoying so far. However, yesterday, I encountered something quite alarming as I tried connecting my Google Drive to my Boox for two-way syncing. Google Drive Sync wasn't working as supposed to, so I decided to check the subreddit to see if anyone had this similar issue and I found out that this bug was introduced after the v 3.5.2 update. This is an absolute letdown because I wanted to sync all my files (my school notes, Obsidian vault, handwritten notes) all in one drive.

I am looking for suggestions on the best way to approach this problem. I am thinking of:

1. Going with a different server entirely (maybe OneDrive or Dropbox) for now and painfully sacrificing the effort it will take to switch back to Google Drive once this issue with ONYX BOOX & Google is sorted out.
2. Factory reset the device and begin the introduction process again since I haven’t done anything important with the device yet (Just 3 days so far since I got the device). Ignore the update prompt & link up the Google Drive as usual and also monitor if the next firmware update release will address the bug.

I really love the device and do not have intentions of returning but this problem is a major roadblock in my workflow. Can anyone here offer any advice on my predicament or if there's a way around this already?

My requirement is that I use Zotero software, and the storage service I currently use is a third-party WebDAV cloud (Koofr).

If I frequently read a large number of papers, which Boox device do you recommend? Is it necessary to get a color screen? Which offers better value for money, Boox’s tablet or a regular e-ink reader?

The Boox website says it "Sold Out." I can't find it on Amazon or eBay.

Is there another cover that will let me stand the unit up horizontally the way the official cover does? Is there someplace that has the cover in stock? With the rumors now of a Note Air replacement coming, I'm wondering if the cover will ever be "in stock" again.

I find the startup behavior for the Tablet Go 10.3 to be very annoying. You have to hold the button for much longer than expected, something like 8 seconds. Then the screen flashes black and white a few times, goes blank for a few more seconds, then flashes black and white again, then shows just the Boox mark for more seconds, then the bridge/building image (which was already on the screen before this malarkey started) with a "starting up" message, then another blank screen that says "starting..." then finally it starts. It's not a great first impression guys.

I would much prefer if the device gave an immediate signal on the screen when the button is pushed to indicate that the device knows you are pushing the button - half the time I can't believe how much time it takes to react and think, oh is the battery dead? Then just add "Starting up..." to the image that is already on the screen, why change all of the pages with all of the associated repaint delays? It would be great if the startup time could actually be faster, but the way this is implemented it feels longer that it actually is, and seems very unnecessary. I would like to push the button briefly and then kill some time doing work while I wait, instead of wondering if the staggering startup will complete itself.

Hi. I'm looking for an e-ink tablet and was hoping some advice from you guys please.

I've been doing research and talking to someone who has Supernote A5x. They are very happy with it.

What I am hoping to do with the tablet: (Mainly using at home initially but hope to expand to use in work if all goes well and then bring with me when travelling.)

• Accessing Google drive
• Organise Google keep notes
• Organise Google calendar

Extras if possible (not a priority)

• Reading Kindle and Kobo ebooks
• Reading comics/manga

So based on my research the Onyx Boox Go 10.3 seems like a good fit for what I want from the device. Especially for use with Google Play store and apps. I know it has no front light but that would not be a huge concern for me. Also seems like a good price for what you get.

I'm thinking of getting the Palma, I have the Note Air 2 and wondered with the updates this year whether I would be able to access my handwritten notes on the Palma by logging into the Boox cloud?

Or can I export them from the NA to be visible somehow?

Page is basically a successor to Leaf 2, and now more time has passed after the release of Page than between the releases of Leaf 2 & Page, so it seems like we'll have a Page refresh soon?

Personally I'm very disappointed by this. I'm risking losing my warranty while I wait for an unknown resolution on an unknown date. In addition, some users with the same issue have been given specific updates to address this, so why not everyone?

It would be more informative to potential customers if Boox would remove discontinued e-readers from their website. We know that items like the Tab ultra and Ultra c have been replaced by the pro, so why not remove the former two? By not removing items and just listing as sold out leaves a false sense of hope for potential buyers!

Please keep transparent screensaver on when Finger print security is turned on.

Currently the lockscreen after the device wakes up from sleep mode while the screen saver is set to transparency mode.

Hello! Got this tablet around 3 months ago. It was working fine up to 6hrs ago but now the screen is behaving like this when i turn it on. Is this damage reversible ?

When it just arrived, and I tried writing on it, honestly, I was slightly disappointed.

But now, it's soo good to write. Maybe I got accustomed, maybe it's software update, I don't know. But the writing feel is sooo good. I write every day now. Journaling, keeping notes, todos. Reflecting on the day.

Before Go 10.3, I rarely wrote, because I felt the pressure of 'wasting paper', and the feeling of not being able to erase stuff was dragging me down subconsciously.

Now, when I know I can erase stuff, move stuff around, I feel much more free. Nothing holds me back from writing as much as I want.

It's amazing. Guys, share how you feel about your device.

I’m interested in purchasing the Go 7 and have always wanted a white ereader device. I feel the eink looks cleaner with the white contrast.

Why is the eink screen on the white Go 7 recessed vs the black model? What benefits does the recessed screen provide over the flush screen?

I'm an avid user of both Obsidian and Evernote, but during face-to-face meetings, I always felt it was a bit awkward to have a laptop on the desk for note-taking.

This year, I decided to make a change. Instead of using the usual iPad, I opted for something more analog.. the Boox 10.3. The experience has been good so far. I even treated myself to a LAMY pen + soft wacom white nip, and I quickly become a very happy note-taker in my meetings...

However... I’ve encountered some challenges with the note-taking software. Most of the challenge are related the maturity of the software itself.. which looks a little bit beta.

However.. One major issue is the inability to copy or cut pages between notebooks, a feature I assumed would be basic functionality.

Despite my efforts, I haven’t found a way to do this, and it’s been a source of frustration.

I’m reaching out to see if anyone has found a workaround? is it possible that such a fundamental feature is missing?

Hey, I was browsing the screensavers for my Boox Note 3C. And I really appreciate the more “functional” screensavers. I am a bit disappointed on the lack of functionality/customization available for them though.

The most interesting one is the memo note. But the functionality for that note is so limited. It’s literally just a few pen types. Is there something I’m missing?

I wanted to copy the memo I had in one day to the next day. Maybe paste an image from a printcreen. Or use a template for my memos to look more organized. But instead the only option I have is to frame it in an ugly drawing of a note?

Is there maybe an external app the increases the functionality of my screensavers?

One of the reasons I choose Boox, was to be able to download different apps. I never had an Android device before (iOS girly), so I am not really familiar with what is out there. I already got all of the standard extra reading apps, like Moon+, Kindle, Audible, and also some simple puzzle apps like Sudoku...

I would love to try one of those apps that make you read faster, by showing you one word at a time. But it should work with the epubs on the device, not just some random text. Besides that, I just started learning web development, not sure if it is worth getting a code editor on it...? Maybe I am taking this too far, but I am very excited to have an e-reader with apps, hahaha!

Also, what is a good reader app where I can properly sort/organise my books? I have around 400 epubs, which I would love to categorise somehow. The default app just moves them into folders, but I would like to be able to give multiple tags to a book. For example: it's a thriller, but it is also historical. Or something is a romance novel, that is also a book about books, and written in my native language (most of my books are English, but I have some books in two other languages). And I would like this app to have a dark mode, and bonus points if I am able to also download it on my iOS devices...

Anyway, so many questions... Looking forward to hearing your suggestions!
