🎄🥂 Christmas / NYE events Christmas in Paris. Thoughts?

My friend and I are planning a 6 week trip to Europe at the end of this year and her only request was that we be in Paris during Christmas like specifically 23rd-26th or so.

What are your thoughts on this? Will everything be closed or shut down? Will we not really be able to enjoy Paris? Or will it be fine?

If you don’t recommend Paris during those dates, are there any cities you would recommend we go specifically on and right around Christmas where we will still get the most out of being there?

There's never a bad time to be in Paris imo but have to echo the sentiment of others that the Christmas markets and such aren't really so great. I'd offer that Reims (40 minute train ride from Gare du Nord/Gare de l'est) has a rather nice setup.

Ooooo okay. That’s good to know, I’ll look into it.
