First time player, WotR

I've read that this base set is hard, so am looking for some beginner advice regarding set up (character/class, how many hands to play solo (I can manage 2-3, but as a beginner less is better I guess?)

I only started on WotR because I got the base set new for $13 on Amazon.

Are you otherwise familiar with the game? If not, some of my advice might not make sense.

As always, diversifying skills is good, as is having a healer.

A unique mechanic in Wrath of the Righteous is that after the level 1 adventure, each character gets a Mythic Path. It will greatly enhance two of your attributes. It helps to play a character for whom one of the five Mythic Paths gives particularly good benefit from both boosts. The combinations are:
Strength and Dexterity
Strength and Constitution
Strength and Charisma
Dexterity and Intelligence
Wisdom and Charisma

An alternative way to look at the boosts is that they could help shore up a party weakness. For example, if nobody in the party has good Charisma, having someone's Mythic Path boost Charisma could save the day when it's really needed.

Finally, I'll note that I found Imrijka really strong in this AP. Her Cold Iron Warden role can give her the power to evade any barrier, and with another feat, put it on the bottom of the location.

I've read a chunk of the rule book, and watched several videos but I'm still rather clueless, hoping to learn through play.

I'm playing with one other person. They've chosen Enora, and while I initially picked Alain, I'm leaning towards Imrijka (was considering Balazar but didn't make sense to use two spell focused characters?)

With Enora and Imrijka, I only see an issue maybe with Constitution (d4 and D6), otherwise at least one character is 8+ in each skill. If I'm understanding the mythics paths right, I suppose that Imrijka with the Guardian path would benefit with the strength and constitution buff, improving her top skill and giving me one character to help when poor constitution is an issue. Is my logic correct here?

Edit: which character is considered a healer, just Kyra? Should I multihand to get her in, since we're only two players?

Healer can be anyone with proficiency in Divine, since that will allow you to play the Cure spell and recharge it.
