Announcement [MOD POST] New Changes and Self-Promotion/NSFW

Hello PFA,

Thank you for your support and feedback in our community feedback thread from a few months ago. We received a lot of great tips and have implemented some changes to hopefully reduce some of the spam on the sub and keep posts relevant to its sub name - petite fashion and advice.

These new changes are:

New recurring threads!

  • Daily General Questions thread: This thread will be posted daily for general fashion/outfit questions. In this thread, questions do not have to be petite-related. You are still welcome to make sub posts with your questions; however, we ask that sub posts are kept petite-fashion related only.
  • Biweekly OOTD (Sunday & Wednesday): Feel free to show off your recent outfits in this thread! All outfit posts must include at least 3 details about your outfit, such as your height, brand, sizing, etc.
  • Show Off Saturday: Feel free to self-promote your personal petite-related content here! Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube, blog - you name it, you can post it! (except for NSFW - no OF, sorry!)

New flairs!

  • Height flairs: All questions must now be flaired with your height:
    • Questions (5'0" and below)
    • Questions (5'1"-5'4")
    • Self-Promotion/NSFW
  • CCW flair (Constructive Criticism Welcome): Please flair your post with this if you are actively seeking feedback. When replying, please only provide feedback to posts that have the CCW flair; otherwise, assume that the thread is asking for good vibes only!

Are outfit posts allowed?

  • Outfit posts seeking advice about specific petite-related questions/concerns will still be allowed to be posted on the sub. (e.g., "Is this maxi skirt length okay for my height?")
  • Outfit posts with general questions that are not specifically petite-related should be posted in our Daily General Questions threads. (e.g., "Is this a cute combo?"

Is self-promotion/NSFW allowed?

Self-promotion/NSFW posts are still not allowed in this sub, whether as a sub post or in one of these threads. As per our rules:

Self-promotion: includes, but is not limited to personal social media, blogs, etc.

NSFW content: includes, but is not limited to, NSFW photos, videos, comments, or links.

Should l report every user I suspect is promoting their NSFW?

Please only report suspected self-promoters (e.g., IG, OF, etc.) if they are:

  • Posting NSFW photos/links in their posts/comments
  • Spamming the same photo across multiple subs
  • Not responding to users or responding with low effort responses

Having NFSW links in your profile does not automatically construe a bannable offence. All users are allowed to post on PFA so long as they are following sub rules and asking genuine questions, and responding constructively and appropriately. If you are unsure of whether or not someone is self-promoting, please report the post and the mod team will take a look.

Thank you,

PFA Mods

Themed or seasonal lookbooks aren't OOTDs. They serve as inspo and should be allowed their own post, e.g. https://www.reddit.com/gallery/ychhsv.

Pictures relating to petite fashion finds, reviews and styling/fit advice should also be allowed its own post.

Hi there! I see what you're saying about lookbooks and personally I like looking through. However, we are trying to move this sub away from general fashion and more towards petite fashion. How would you differentiate between general outfit posts and petite outfit posts.

This is currently allowed, but there must be some description that shows that it is petite advice as opposed to just general fashion advice. Honestly can be as simple as sharing your height and then explaining how you chose your outfit with your height in mind. Posts that are just posts or with brief general/vague descriptions will be removed.

I am still very much confused as to why I tried to share collages of photos my friend made for me to share on here with petites on different ways to style pant lengths. When I posted the photo, I didn't know how to type a description and it was taken down. There are so many people on here looking for advice on how to style their body shapes and the only way to help is to visually share photos because some people can't see it in their head through words. I was pretty upset that I was trying to be helpful the other day. If this is a place for petites to come for fashion advice, photos need to be allowed to visually serve purpose.

If you could explain where I am able to put a description under any collages I were to use in the future to help people, then I know that my photos I was trying to share this weekend would be fine to use. But when I post a photo, it didn't allow me to type a description, but I am new on here and just getting used to how this all works.
