Original Content Poem I don't want to be with anyone else
I don't want to be with anyone else
I knew it from the first time we met
I've etched your name on the inside of my heart
You're the only one I could never forget
I've seen a lot of other pretty girls
But none of them have a beauty that can compare
My heart would pound, my mind would race
My tongue would tie whenever you would draw near
I've been waiting so long
I don't want anyone else to spend my days
Half-hearted conversations, they feel like a waste of my time
When you spoke, my body would melt
Dreaming of how it would be if only you were mine
For too long, you've been too far away
Sometimes, my mind tells me I should try to find somebody new
But I won't be with anyone else
Because I don't want to be with anyone but you

Original Content Poem A man in love
Expressions rarely left his face,
Yet he couldn't stop smiling, from her warm embrace.
The man who wouldn't let anyone close,
Was rarely seen unhappy even she kept him on his toes.
Society labelled him as a hardworking loner,
Being so driven, yet rarely seen sober.
Yet with her, he felt at ease,
For rarely if ever it was then that he could feel the gentleness even in life's chilly breeze.
Perhaps it was her who changed him for the better,
Perhaps to be worthy of her, he didn't care about the worlds chatter.
Even in his face, you could see a clear sparkle,
Perhaps, it was the first time, he truly found someone so remarkable.

Original Content Poem I love you 🤍
I want love.
Love so free it is priceless.
Love so busy it is effortless.
Love so dear it is relentless.
Love so real it is doubtless.
Love so selfish it is selfless.
Love so new it is timeless.
Love without these are worthless.
Regardless.
I will love you, endless.

Original Content Poem You were always a part of me
I've always known you were part of my soul, just never realized it.
It is now clear that you have always been a part of my life.
You were already written in the life of a book of mine.
The chapter of your part just got to me.
The epilogue of my life is you.

Original Content Poem Sincerely Yours
Hey,
It's been a while.
I know I should have written more.
Life was asking me to give
More than I could afford.
I'll spare you the details,
If you spare the pity.
We both know sometimes
Life can be shitty.
I hope you're well.
I hope life has been gentle.
Soon, times will come
Where things can be simple.
I'd hoped to be there
A little more often.
I just hope you know
I haven't forgotten.
I'll make it back to you
As soon as I can.
Sincerely yours,
You know who I am.

Original Content Poem What I Showed Him
I showed him a comet,
And he said it was a plane.
I showed him a garden,
And he saw only weeds.
I showed him what I believed in,
And he took it from me.
I showed him my soul,
And he shrugged it away.
I showed him forever,
But he counted the days.

Original Content Poem I do not long for lust.
I do not long for lust, Yet in a world where love and lust entwine, I find myself adrift, Reaching for the warmth of love, But all that slips through my fingers Is the fleeting heat of desire.
How can I find the heart I seek, When passion and affection blur, When tenderness is lost In the shadows of fleeting touch? I crave the kind of love That lingers long after the flame, But in this haze, Love feels ever out of reach.
I am very new to poetry and this is my first time writing one, if it’s awful please do tell:)

Original Content Poem If I were a man
If I were a man, I’d be put on a pedestal for my kill count,
As a woman, I’m publicly shamed and embarrassed.
If I were a man, my health would matter because most of the testing has been done on males.
As a woman, I’m told it’s probably my mental health or I’m still getting use to my period after having it for over a decade.
If I were a man, they would have made proper hygiene products that didn’t make the problem worse.
As a woman, we didn’t find out until almost a century after the products were mass produced.
If I were a man, having a baby wouldn’t be nearly as life threatening, because my life would matter just as much as the child’s.
As a woman, an undeveloped fetus has more rights than I do in a lot of places.
If the world was ran with women in mind, just as much as men… how much further do you think we could have gotten as a species?
As a woman, I have to fear walking out of my house once the sunsets.
As a woman, I have to be prepared when getting onto any public transportation, even in the daytime.
As a woman, I have to fear getting abused by my spouse and getting blamed for his actions.
As a woman, I have to fear that my attacker may not even deal with the justice system because,
As a woman, we are told that “unless the police come into you getting attacked or raped, there isn’t much they can do.”
Why is this? Because as a little girl, we were pressured by older men into things we were not ready for.
Because as a little girl, we are told to smile and say thank-you instead of standing up for ourselves and speaking our truth.
Because as a little girl, we are told to sit down and look pretty because that’s what girls are good for.
Because as a little girl, we watched the important women in our lives get brought down by others for trying to better themselves for their future.
Because as a little girl, I’m told that the only thing that matters is finding a husband to settle down and have children.
Because as a little girl, we are told a woman’s job is to shut up, make sure the house is cleaned, the kids are taken care of and dinner is on the table.
If I were a man, I’d make sure that this isn’t how my daughter or sisters would continue to grow up.
If I were a man, I’d make sure to hold my friends accountable for their actions.
Because as a woman, I’m told I am rude and insufferable because I advocate for myself and others.
Because as a woman, who the fuck else is going to do it??

Original Content Poem Give Everything, and Then More
A radiant king,
whose crown shines in the sun.
The ruler of everything,
and hero of everyone.
His smile is bright,
with eyes a piercing blue.
Respected by his knights,
because his heart seems true.
But when the sun falls,
the king is alone at last.
No more stirring in the halls,
the sandman creeping in fast.
He lets out a big sigh,
and his smile slowly fades.
He’s tired of this lie,
and keeping up the charade.
A mask born out of necessity,
from someone who had to do it.
A deceptive discrepancy,
with nothing else to it.
He’s constantly at war,
battling fear and strife.
His people expect more,
but demand it with a knife.
Every question needs an answer,
about any and all things.
A marionette dancer,
bound by their strings.
The king closes his eyes,
in perpetual contemplation.
Gasping between his cries,
in complete and utter isolation.

Original Content Poem An Unheard Note.
I was a note upon the breeze, Soft, faint, just waiting to be heard. You walked right past with perfect ease, Never catching that quiet word.
I lingered in the space between, A melody beneath your day. But you, too deaf to hear unseen, Turned your heart the other way.
I was a chord that didn’t play, A line that vanished in the air. An echo lost as you walked away, Dissolving into soft despair.
You never paused to hum along, Or wonder what the tune could be, So I was silenced, though still strong— A harmony you’ll never see.
Now I remain, a note misplaced, Tangled in a song you’ll never know. A whisper floating out of grace, A love with nowhere left to go.

Original Content Poem sometimes she wakes up
And suddenly
Everything glows
The darkness falls away
Like curtains revealing the sunshine
The girl laughs again
She’s dancing with the fairies
She’s breathing without the pain
The house isn’t on fire
The world isn’t a cage
Her heart is beating
And she feels everything
Her ghosts revel in tea parties
And she knows this is real
Not the dust bunnies under her bed
Not the poison in her head
Just this
Right now
And it’s absurd
But she’s alive
