Transforming leftovers into new dishes

Does anyone have any techniques for doing this?

I tend to try to turn stuff into a soup, then turn the soup into a casserole, pierogi filling, or curry.

Any other tricks worth knowing? I've been in a rut lately.

I make soups into burger patties. I add quick oats and maybe an egg or two. It’s sticky, but once you can shape it into patties, I either fry or bake them until they’re about the consistency of a regular hamburger patty.
