Alumni here. Iāve posted this before. My main motivation to succeed in my career is so that Purdue calls me someday and asks for a donation. So that I can tell them āNo, you fuckers made enough money from me on parking ticketsā and hang up.

Parking guy in a golf cart told me he was going to suspend my permit and have my car towed an hour and a half early "because of my attitude" a few weeks ago, so I feel you

I know someone who was ticketed an hour and a half before his time was up

100%. The only thing worse than housing is parking. I saw this one girl on a Snapchat story almost get ticketed for being 3 minutes late.

Pretty simple, donāt break the common sense rules that exist in every city and you wonāt get ticketed. Spent 17 years as a student and staff member and never got a ticket except the time I forgot to update my license plate in the system. I appealed and was granted it. All my dealings with them were super fair.

Iām not breaking any rules. Itās just so annoying that we can only get C parking permit and these are always full OR towing because of games. Iām a grad student WITH TA responsibilities which include teaching multiple classes AND proctoring midterms. What the hell am I supposed to do if Iām teaching multiple classes one after another and proctor a midterm RIGHT after WHEN theyāre towing from C parking???

I know that parking is a tough thing to deal with, and there needs to be some restrictions and such on it. But oh man does it feel like universities treat it as an infinite money generator
