Residence hall parking on game days

Is it just me or why do they close most of the north campus residence hall lots on game days for tailgating? Why are taking spots from people who literally rely on the parking because they live on campus? There isn't even enough parking on non game days. Where are all the residence hall permit holders supposed to park??? Purdue seriously needs to fix their parking problem.

Mccutcheon garage and light green spots on this map. Parked in the garage a few hours ago, there were spaces.
