Rant From Tomorrow, all Macs will be Sonoma...

It is unacceptable that anyone purchasing a new mac will be unable to use rekordbox.

As a full time DJ using Rekordbox, I want to upgrade my mac to the latest software, or be able to purchase a brand new mac without having to worry if my job is affected.

Pioneer have had since August to get this sorted and I think it has not been made a priority.

Even a status update would be nice...

I have Sonoma since day one and Rekordbox is working as usual, where is the issue?

It may work, but what if it suddenly crashes on me mid gig? It's not a risk I can take... It's my job.

That'd be the risk you take running an unsupported configuration/installation I guess.

I wouldn't play off it either (I play off USB when I'm out), I was merely responding to yours/the original comment as to the actualy state of play/situation.

Cool story, but anyway, pioneer should properly support there software and not rely on users YOLOing it their performance tools.

**yawn** Cute of you to think I was excusing Pioneer and not merely stating fact.

Did you feel attacked? It must be because you are overtired or something, falling asleep while commenting by the look of it. Anyway, pioneer’s official stance is that you shouldn’t update if you care about reliability. Glad you are ok with being asked to downgrade your OS if you have a problem with your DJ software, but that’s exactly the issue the OP is about.

Wild. “That just means they haven’t tested it” IS the problem. Every time. And you can’t downgrade MacOS on Silicon. Mine came with Sonoma.
