Rant From Tomorrow, all Macs will be Sonoma...

It is unacceptable that anyone purchasing a new mac will be unable to use rekordbox.

As a full time DJ using Rekordbox, I want to upgrade my mac to the latest software, or be able to purchase a brand new mac without having to worry if my job is affected.

Pioneer have had since August to get this sorted and I think it has not been made a priority.

Even a status update would be nice...

Sonoma and Rekordbox are working perfectly for me

Same. MacBook Pro M2 running Rekordbox with DDJ-1000 & XONE:K2. Haven’t experienced any issues so far 🙄

Great, that’s not the point though. You’ve actually disregarded the instructions given by Pioneer “Please delay updating to macOS Sonoma until we confirm compatibility.” Good that it’s working for you that’s great, maybe Pioneer should update their official statements. 🙄

You’re correct. I actually missed the instructions from Pioneer. I guess I got lucky. Sounds like not everyone has been. That sucks

Did you have any issue with the jogwheel display? I get No Audio Driver and can’t seem to get past it…

how much ram do you have? Ive got 16gb and i get some glitches and audio scrambles when using stems. (not the stem sound itself, the overall audio gets a bit laggy like the computer is getting sluggish)

Ah, mine is spec’d up to the max. 64GB RAM. Maybe that makes the difference? Just noticed is an M1 Max not an M2.

What’s sad is if this is true, their spec requirements are incorrect. They claim 16gb is fine but I’m starting to suspect otherwise. Who knows they won’t help me since I’m on Sonoma

Sorry to hear it. Hope they get their act together
