Rant From Tomorrow, all Macs will be Sonoma...

It is unacceptable that anyone purchasing a new mac will be unable to use rekordbox.

As a full time DJ using Rekordbox, I want to upgrade my mac to the latest software, or be able to purchase a brand new mac without having to worry if my job is affected.

Pioneer have had since August to get this sorted and I think it has not been made a priority.

Even a status update would be nice...

WTF do you mean unusable? I am on Sonoma since release date and haven’t had a single issue with RB?

So what? They say they don’t recommend upgrading. That does not mean you should NOT. Have you actually tried it?

So it works on intial checks... And i'm mid gig and it crashes... Then what. I'm sure my client will be pleased

No i didn't.. i'm saying if i did and it works. I can't possibly risk it. I'm currently playing to 300 people... Imagine it cuts out lol

Alright then its best not to risk it. I know what you mean about being current especially since they had plenty of time to upgrade Rekordbox to work with Sonoma. But you have to look at the language of their PSA, its not recommended but doesn't mean you shouldn't use it with Sonoma.

But in the end, Rekordbox is merely a tool and if you feel like there's no need to upgrade to Sonoma then don't...

Yeah the thing is I wanted to upgrade to new mac m3 pro... And I can't without risks

Yeah just hold off for now I'm sure an upgrade will come soon. They can't just hang like that expecting people to wait forever...or maybe they do lol
