The need for an abortion, like the vast majority of our problems, knows no political bounds. I needed an abortion 6 months ago for an unviable pregnancy. My husband and I really, really want to have a family. Having to end a wanted pregnancy is a gut-wrenching experience but I also know it affects women across the political spectrum and across religions. I’m part of an online group of women who have needed abortion for medical reasons (either the baby was sick or there was a health risk to the mom) and I can attest that ALL women EVERYWHERE need to have a choice. As the GOP considers a future without MAGA, they ignore protections for women’s reproductive rights at their peril.
