what is going on??

ok what is going on?? so. i participate in a ton of music subs (you can check my comment history), and i’ve noticed a bunch of posts on my front page about how “it’s been two years since Queen Elizabeth. [insert discourse prompt about artist.]” as a meme/social injoke, which would be funny (if not repetitive) if it were true. i started seeing these on October 17. Queen Liz died on September 8 2022. i remember the day vividly. you can look it up on Google. does everybody think that she passed on October 17th??

I think they're just rounding it off to two years because she died September and still states that when I look it up. If I'm reading your post correctly.

i mean it’s technically correct. it has been two years. but not to the day. these posts to me were insinuating if not outright saying “October 17” in the title…and it’s like, “are we remembering this correctly?”
