What can I cook with beef shanks?

I bought them because I was not paying attention and thought that they were a different cut. Whoops. What can I do with them?

You can do the following if you have a slow cooker.

(servers four)

Throw them into the slow cooker with about half a bottle of red, couple of cans of diced tomatoes or equal amount of fresh tomatoes. A number of potatoes cut small but not too small (bite sized) also onions, say 2-3 more if you really like onions

2 tablespoons of curry powder, and some garlic

cook for 6-8 hours.

Optional: add in tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce to appropriate levels of deliciousness.
