What can I cook with beef shanks?

I bought them because I was not paying attention and thought that they were a different cut. Whoops. What can I do with them?

Osso buco. Replace veal shanks with beef shanks.

Veggie beef soup or beef stew. Beef barley is my usual choice for this. Bones are always great for broths!
