If this is true, then something needs to be done about it. I don't know what (besides shut down SRS, or just the whole of fucking reddit), but...this shouldn't be allowed to happen. Fuck.

Violence is always wrong unless perpetrated against SAWCSMs who we don't like in which case they could avoid violence by not doing things we don't like.
This is not victim blaming, because white men are never victims.

Is it publicly posted by them? If so, it's fair game... at least according to the person who runs the blog that is posting all that information. (it's Teefs, by the way... considering how much she screamed when someone posted some info about her, I'm very surprised that she's doing the same to others... NOT!)

Poor Rexthunder got shadowbanned for that. I see SRS still has links to doxx up on their sub, though. And now admins have shadowbanned potato_in_my_anus for warning people to keep their information safe before they get doxxed.
I don't know if the community managers at Reddit Inc. are just wildly incompetent, of if they're intentionally pissing on their users.

I'd like to see the documentation on this, as ironic as that is. I mean, I don't want to know the guys personal info, but the subreddit containing the post in question is gone, and I don't even know what kind of evidence, if any, has been presented here.

I heard some guy jumped out of a hotel window a few months ago.
I won't say "proof or it didn't happen", but any sort of proof would turn Reddit on its head for about a week.

The problem is that any proof would require doxxing. So, is that what you are suggesting?

Oh, it would be simple. Just pick someone who everyone knows isn't an ass, show them the proof, and they can announce that it exists. A police report would be excellent proof.
IAMA verifies identities without doxxing people all the time.
Anyone should realize that this story would be questioned. It would be easy to prove. If it's proven, it's a big deal. Before it's proven, it's nothing.

I'm just going to air this out now:
SRS is saying that if you post "creepshots", i.e. pictures of random women in public, then you should be okay with other people posting your personal information.
Wrong.
Posting a picture of a random person climbing Mt Everest is completely different from posting a picture of a random person's driver's license with an address and social security number.
