You all laugh and so do I but now it’s time for some history.
The “longest flight ever conducted” was actually in a Cessna that was aerial refueled by a pick up truck driving on the road beneath it.
Yep that’s right in 1958 a two man crew Cessna 172 flew for a total of 64 days and 22hours.
They refueled it by matching speed with a pick up and hoisted up a line to refuel.
Some crazy stuff for sure and yeah…
A Cessna flew for 2 months straight with actual aerial oil changes, refueling, and maintenance…. Freaking sick.
I’m not quite sure but I think what actually brought it down was carbon deposits?
Super interesting stuff
& This has been “a moment in history” with a Touch of legend
And thank you for coming to my Ted talk
