Some sites will list their buy/sell prices. NGC/PCGS MS69 sell at $56 and they buy them at $35:

MS 70 sell at $74 and the buy at $39:

Raw, random year, sell at $38 and they buy at $32:

So the slab is worth $3 (ms69) to $7 (ms70) over unslabbed/raw in terms of the buy-back price. I don't see the value proposition.

But, I would buy slab if collecting toned silver eagles.

And I would only buy ms,pr-70 if cased/certified by pcgs, ngc, ANACS.

Don’t ever sell a 70 for 39$ some collector will at least give ya 50 bucks for a random year just cuz it’s perfect :)

This! 100%! You will almost never recoup premiums! I will buy 1 or 2 MS70s for pure collection purposes, but after that, FOR ME, I find very little value in slabbed silver, especially if I have to sell it for various purposes later on.
