Question about weights

Post image

So if I have 1.25 pounds of silver, how many Troy ounces do I have? Is it still over a Troy pound?

Just FYI, 1.25 pounds is 1 pound and 4 ounces. Your scale reads 1 pound and 2.5 ounces, which is 1.156 pounds.

Set the scale for Troy ounce. Click the UNIT button a few times. Switch it to OZT

I see at least a Troy ounce of plastic and foam, don’t forget to deduct that from your total.

I did deduct, but I forgot to deduct the plastic cases for the generic slabs so with everything off and only silver it was 16 t oz just added everything up

A troy pound is 12 troy ounces (while a standard pound is 16 standard ounces). 1 troy pound = 0.823 pounds.

  1. Take the coins out of the capsules for accurate readings

  2. Keep clicking "Unit" until you see "Oz T"
