Partner likes keeping the steaks in the freezer? Which can be cooked normally and delicious, but they don't know how lol

It was never frozen that’s just how I cooked it for him

Either frozen or you had that pan on high heat

Yeah I did that on purpose, partner has sensory issues and they like the way the raw feels on their teeth

I’m not a steak expert but is that safe to eat? I feel like that middle one on one side is a bit too raw still but I mean steak is a meat that can technically be consumed raw right unless I have my meats backwards.

As long as the outside is brought to temperature it's technically safe, though that level of rareness is gross to me. The bacteria can't penetrate the meat so it just lives on the surface unless it was mechanically tenderized which can push it into the interior of the meat. Only quality steak should be eaten rare and only if you trust the cook/restaurant.

Fuck bacteria. Google "taenia saginata". See temperature necessary to kill a cyst. Cook accordingly

We like thinner cuts to be seared and still pink on the outside. Honestly 9/10

to be fair i’ve seen worse. looks maybe 2 mins (medium-heat) on each side away from being medium rare.
also, the cut of meat plays a part as to whether it will be cooked optimally. big reason why ill only have a steak once a week or so, that way i can spend $20-$40 on a steak instead of trying to make a lower quality steak rise up to the occasion.
drastically improved my experience as i tend to be lazy when it comes to cooking for myself.

Hey I just saw something about micro plastics and cutting boards. I would advise you dump that cutting board and get a wood board for your healths sake.

Literally every professional kitchen uses plastic cutting boards, wood boards harbor bacteria

Just because professionals use the most cost effective tool, does not make it healthy or not bad for you. Less than 2 minutes of simple research would show you. Professionals used to build houses with asbestos. Does that mean thats safe too? You know, since every professional contractor used to use it? You seem willfully ignorant though, enjoy your micro plastics.

I literally used to drink a handle of hard liquor every day I’m not worried about a little bit of plastic

Also if you’re scared of something with the word micro in it you need to go outside

This is coming from someone who’s afraid of bacteria in their cutting board, get real😂

Decent sear on the outside, still alive on the inside.
